Tremco Roofing will once again be holding their major seminar in April at Ontario Place. This year they are planning a more aggressive agenda, with two separate seminars over two days. The first will take place on the afternoon of April 7th and will deal specifically with residential tower renewal. On April 8th they will be holding a full day session dealing with a much wider range of building design issues. The theme of this two day event is “Sustainable Buildings: The Road Less Travelled’.
This two day schedule has one full afternoon dedicated exclusively to the recently published book “Tower Renewal Guidelines; For The Comprehensive Retrofit Of Multi-Unit Residential Buildings in Cold Climates”. This session will be led by Dr. Ted Kesik of the Daniels Facility of Architecture, University of Toronto. Dr. Kesik is the lead researcher and author of this ground breaking work. Ted will be accompanied by some of Ontario’s foremost experts on the subject of tower renewal.
April 8th will see a full day agenda of subjects concerning building durability and sustainability. The speakers list for day two is almost finalized and an information piece with final details will be published in February.
